Jelrus was founded in 1947 and in 1990 became the dental laboratory division of Air Techniques, Inc. (a major manufacturer of dental and medical equipment).

Jelrus developed the first vertical rise porcelain furnace back in the mid 1950’s along with several burnout furnaces, at that time, to accommodate the "lost wax technique".

Jelrus produces a complete line of innovative press, porcelain and burnout furnaces. The new model VIP furnaces are: VIP Universal X-Press (combination press / porcelain furnace) and VIP Universal (porcelain furnace). Both feature a large widescreen display, show all program information and progress from start through finish . The VIP Universal X-Press and VIP Universal transform all porcelains into extraordinary works of art.

The stainless steel programmable burnout furnace models are: INFINITY M30, INFINITY L30, PDQ medium and PDQ large. All porcelain and burnout furnaces are available in 100V, 115V, 230V & 240V to accommodate worldwide voltage requirements.
